Woman of the Month: Lisa O'Malley from Dunstable, MA USA
“Connecting with one young person at a time…”
I had an idea for the longest time about starting a spirituality course for young people, but never believed I could take action to make it happen. I attended a New Easy Women Weekend and started to believe that my idea could become a reality if I wanted it to.
I started my first course for children – called ‘The Spirit In Me’ - in May of 2006, and have just started the second one as of Sept. 24, 2006. And I know I will create more courses.
What changed for me was the awareness that I just had to take the first step and have faith that it would happen in the exact way that it should. I was able to trust that the energy of the universe is with me, and that I have the focus, credibility, and creational aspect in my being to bring the course to fruition. What I learned to do differently was to keep my focus on the big picture of what I was creating instead of getting caught up in every little detail.
The impact on my life has been HUGE!! I was able to run "The Spirit In Me", and it was so awe inspiring to see the children grow as a result that I am now creating more courses. I am also playing with the idea of creating a school that offers self-inspiring courses for young people.
The single most important step I took was to claim it and say out loud to others that I was going to create and offer this course to young people.
My life has taken off now. I am always excited (like a young child on his or her Birthday, or like waiting for Santa Claus to come)! I feel more confident, due to my success in creating and providing such an amazing experience to young people. My life is fun, funny at times, and I have found my unique gift that I am ready to share with the world. I shall connect with one young person at a time.
My message for the women reading this newsletter is:
Deb & Lynne’s retreats awaken your spirit! The beautiful part about participating in their retreat is that you recreate yourself, and it is different for everyone, your experience is as unique as you are. Some women get to "see" something new in themselves that they haven't had the time to address. It could be the need to get rid of some piece of baggage that does not serve them any longer. I know that I need to go within myself in order to get what I need for me and what I want to create in my life.
You are provided the chance to do just that, within a loving environment, and with women who "get you" at a laser speed. The REAL YOU finally gets the chance to be expressed, either thru words, or in art form. There is nothing more inspiring than the REAL YOU!!!
